Description

LabSen 213 combined glass pH electrode with integrated temperature sensor is designed for routine, high-precision measurements in aqueous solutions for research and quality control. The LabSen S-type hemispherical glass membrane offers low resistance yet is up to ten times tougher than conventional membranes, delivering fully stabilised readings within 15 to 30 seconds. A durable long-life reference system consisting of a glass tube, AgCl and silver wire, protected by cotton packing, maintains reference stability across temperature changes and extends electrode service life. The patented pH/temperature combination places the NTC 30 kΩ sensor in an independent cavity beneath the membrane with a heat-conducting medium, accelerating temperature response by approximately 40 % and improving overall pH stability. Compatible with TRIS buffer solutions and manufactured with Swiss technology from APERA Instruments, the electrode features a lead-free glass shaft, ceramic diaphragm and 3 M KCl gel electrolyte that resists bubble formation. Dimensions are Ø12 × 120 mm; the cable is Ø5 mm × 1 m with BNC for pH and RCA for temperature. Measuring range is 0 to 14 pH and recommended operating temperature −5 to 100 °C. The dual-connector design works with meters supporting BNC/RCA while the BNC side remains widely compatible with standard laboratory pH instruments.

Questions about LabSen®213 Professional 3-in-1 Glass pH/Temp. Electrode

What is this article?

LabSen®213 Professional 3-in-1 Glass pH/Temp. Electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
