Description

Macro cuvette type 6030-UV is a precision spectroscopy cell manufactured from quartz glass for the wavelength range 260 nm to 2500 nm. With a path length of 10 mm and a nominal fill volume of 3 500 µl (0,0035 l), it fits routine absorbance and transmission work on common spectrophotometers. A PTFE fold lid secures the sample during measurement. Hellma macro cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma (IDL) are produced entirely in Germany and are designed for high accuracy in path length and parallelism, supporting continuously reproducible results. The construction is thermally bonded rather than glued, giving strong resistance to temperature and chemicals and helping prevent leakage. Selected quartz glasses deliver excellent transmission greater than 82 % for exact readings. Bevelled edges enable safe, comfortable handling and minimise chipping risk. The cells can be cleaned and reused over extended periods as a sustainable alternative to single-use options. Manufacture follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical standards. Pack size is one piece for laboratory spectroscopy.

Questions about macro cell, 6030

What is this article?

macro cell, 6030 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.

A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
