Description

Magnetic centrifugal pump, 29 W, G3/4'' external thread is designed for reliable transfer of acids, alkalis, alkaline and galvanic baths, photochemicals, and radioactive, sterile or highly corrosive liquids. A 230 V motor couples to the impeller through contactless magnetic drive, eliminating dynamic shaft seals so the housing stays hermetically closed and free from leakage. Construction materials include glass-fibre-reinforced PP, stainless steel, Rulon bearings, an FKM seal and a ceramic shaft. Flow capacity spans 1 to 24 l/min with a maximum delivery head of 3 m. Suction and discharge connections are G 3/4'' external thread (BSP). The seal-less design supports ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, operating temperatures up to 60 °C and viscosities up to 20 mPas. Net weight is 2,7 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bürkle, this magnetic centrifugal pump suits laboratory, surface-treatment and chemical process duties that demand chemical resistance and leak-tight operation.

This article is part of Pumps (other) & accessories, in Pumps, vacuum & evaporation.

Questions about Magnetic centrifugal pump, 29 W, G3/4'' ext. thread

What is this article?

Magnetic centrifugal pump, 29 W, G3/4'' ext. thread is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Pumps (other) & accessories, inside Pumps, vacuum & evaporation, in Lab instruments.

These are the pumps and fittings that are not a vacuum pump, a peristaltic pump or a drum pump. Flow, pressure and chemical compatibility of the wetted parts remain the three questions.

A vacuum pump lowers the pressure above a liquid so it boils at a lower temperature. That is the point of a rotary evaporator: solvent leaves a sample without cooking it. A diaphragm pump or a rotary-vane pump is chosen by the vacuum it reaches and by whether solvent vapour will destroy it. A peristaltic pump moves liquid by squeezing a tube, so the liquid touches only the tube. A barrel pump transfers a larger volume from a drum. The glassware on the evaporator is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Solvent identity is on PubChem.
