Description
DURAN® mixing cylinder Class A with a nominal volume of 25 ml is a precision borosilicate glass 3.3 vessel for accurate dilution, mixing and sample preparation. The tall-form cylinder stands 193 mm high and carries blue ring graduations with a scale division of 0,5 ml for clear volume reading. A ground joint NS 14/23 accepts the included polyethylene stopper, enabling secure closure during shaking or short-term storage. Manufactured in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4788, the cylinder is supplied with a declaration of conformity according to DIN 12600 and dated batch identification. This Class A mixing cylinder from manufacturer Hirschmann suits aqueous media and many common laboratory solvents. Optional batch calibration certificates, individual calibration certificates or DAkkS certificates are available separately. With a pack size of 2 pieces, the instrument supports analytical workflows in chemical, pharmaceutical, research and teaching laboratories where Class A accuracy and the chemical resistance of DURAN® glass are essential.

Questions about MEASURING CYLINDERS A 25 ML, CC, DURAN, POLY STOPPER
What is this article?
MEASURING CYLINDERS A 25 ML, CC, DURAN, POLY STOPPER is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hirschmann for laboratory use. It sits in Mixing cylinders, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A mixing cylinder is a graduated cylinder with a stopper, so a dilute solution can be shaken in the vessel it was measured in. It is coarser than a volumetric flask and more convenient when many dilutions are made by hand.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
