Description
Measuring pipette 5 ml of soda-lime glass, Class B, Type 3 with brown diffusion print is intended for accurate measuring and transferring of liquids in the laboratory. These graduated pipettes enable uptake of varying liquid volumes and delivery either in equal portions or in differently sized aliquots. Calibration is performed to deliver (Ex) at the reference temperature of +20 °C. Volume tolerances for calibratable pipettes comply with the error limits of the German Calibration Ordinance as well as ISO and DIN standards. Fabricated from soda-lime glass to Class B accuracy and carrying the AR-Glas ® trademark, the pipette features a permanent brown scale with numbering running from top to bottom (zero point at the top) together with a cotton-plug end. The full-delivery design permits complete emptying of the contents after uptake of different volumes. The fired-on brown print remains durable and the graduated scale with line divisions is easy to read. Suitable for volumetry and precise dispensing of partial liquid quantities, this measuring pipette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences supports reliable routine work where Class B precision is required.
This article is part of Graduated pipettes, in Pipettes & pipette tips. See also Volumetric pipettes.

Questions about Measuring Pipette, from soda-lime glass, Class B, Type 3, amber diffusion print
What is this article?
Measuring Pipette, from soda-lime glass, Class B, Type 3, amber diffusion print is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Graduated pipettes, inside Pipettes & pipette tips, in Lab consumables.
A graduated pipette delivers a chosen volume along a scale, to contain or to deliver as marked. Class A and class B differ in tolerance. A serological pipette is a different, usually plastic, article. Reading the meniscus and delivering correctly, blow-out or not, is printed on the pipette.
A pipette moves a measured volume. A volumetric pipette delivers one line. A graduated pipette delivers along a scale. A Pasteur pipette is an uncalibrated transfer. A piston pipette uses a tip, and the tip has to seal on that pipette. A filter tip adds a barrier so aerosol from the sample does not reach the piston. Serological pipettes are the long graduated tubes used with a controller. The volume and the fit are the specification. Piston pipettes are treated under ISO laboratory apparatus. In-vitro work also meets ISO in vitro diagnostic systems.
