Description
Microtube kit with lock is a laboratory vortex mixer accessory engineered for secure processing of microtubes and related vessels. The easily customisable high-performance vortex holder accepts foam racks for tubes ranging from 0,5 to 50 ml. Four configurations support microtiter plate work and can hold up to eight plates, while the dual plate holder accessory doubles the maximum load of a microtiter plate vortex mixer. The locking design keeps the holder firmly fixed during operation. Six multi-tube vortex mixer foam racks enable high-throughput applications and are ideal for tubes with diameters from 10 to 29 mm. An upgrade kit adds 15 cm of height so that tubes up to 25 cm can be accommodated. Supplied as one complete set weighing 1,1 kg net, with packaging dimensions of 0,25 m depth by 0,25 m width by 0,127 m height, the kit forms part of the comprehensive vortex mixer accessory assortment from manufacturer Ohaus and serves a wide range of laboratory mixing needs.

Questions about Microtube Kit with Retainer
What is this article?
Microtube Kit with Retainer is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring & mixing accessories, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
Stirring accessories are the bosses, the retort clamps and the spare knobs that hold an overhead stirrer over the vessel. The stand has to carry the motor's mass, not only the flask's.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
