Description

Nalgene™ tamper-evident HDPE closures, sterile, bulk pack are specialised screw closures developed for use with square PET and PETG media bottles. Each closure incorporates a tamper-evident security ring that functions as an originality seal, combining the proven leak-tight performance of the bottle-closure system with clear visual confirmation of content integrity. Manufactured from natural-coloured HDPE, the closures are supplied sterile with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶ achieved by gamma irradiation. The bulk pack contains 240 pieces and is produced under ISO 13485:2016 quality management. Closure size covers the 38–430 mm range and is intended for Nalgene square PET/PETG media bottles (excluding 125 ml PETG bottles). These sterile, tamper-evident closures from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics provide a reliable sealing solution for media storage, sample protection and process integrity in pharmaceutical, biotechnological and general laboratory workflows where chain-of-custody and contamination control are essential.

Questions about Nalgene™ HDPE Tamper Evident Closures, Sterile, Bulk-Pack

What is this article?

Nalgene™ HDPE Tamper Evident Closures, Sterile, Bulk-Pack is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
