Description

Nalgene™ Right-to-Understand FEP safety wash bottles are laboratory wash bottles built for aggressive chemicals and marked with internationally standardised GHS hazard labelling. Each cylindrical bottle has a nominal volume of 0,5 l (16 oz), a natural-colour FEP body and a narrow opening fitted with stem and draw tube so liquid is dispensed through the closure. The 28 mm screw closure is ETFE and also natural in colour; the assembly is autoclavable and supplied with the closure included. These bottles are intended for methylene chloride (dichloromethane) and carry GHS-compliant labelling to support safer handling and reduce the risk of chemical accidents at the bench. Graduations are not provided. Offered as a case of four from manufacturer Thermo Scientific, the fluoropolymer construction pairs chemical resistance with clear right-to-understand hazard communication for routine solvent work. Gross weight is 0,780 kg per sales unit, suited to organised laboratory stocking of dedicated wash bottles for chlorinated solvents.

Questions about Nalgene™ Right-to-Understand FEP Safety Wash Bottles with Globally

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Right-to-Understand FEP Safety Wash Bottles with Globally is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Wash bottles, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A wash bottle is a squeeze bottle with a bent delivery tube, used to rinse a precipitate or a electrode with a small directed stream. The liquid inside is usually water or a solvent, and the bottle has to tolerate that liquid.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
