Description
Nalgene™ square PETG media bottles with closure are sterile laboratory containers for storage and sample retention of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates. Each bottle is moulded from glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate copolyester (PETG) and offers a nominal capacity of 500 ml (16 oz) in a space-saving square profile with a narrow mouth. The transparent, graduated body measures 74 mm in diameter and 177 mm in height, with a neck inner diameter of 28 mm; a matching 38-430 closure is supplied with every unit. Bottles and closures from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics are certified gamma-sterilized (SAL 10⁻⁶), pyrogen-free and non-cytotoxic, and meet USP Class VI requirements, so costly washing, depyrogenation and autoclave preparation can be avoided before first use. The bottles are not autoclavable. Designed as ready-to-use media bottles for pharmaceutical and research workflows, they support media hold, intermediate storage and sample handling while the square footprint improves shelf and cold-chain packing density. Units are supplied as a case of 24 (12 per pack), combining sterile readiness with practical bench handling.

Questions about Nalgene™ Square PETG Media Bottles with Closure
What is this article?
Nalgene™ Square PETG Media Bottles with Closure is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.
A plastic bottle is polyethylene, polypropylene or a fluoropolymer, narrow-mouth for pouring or wide-mouth for powders. It is the choice when the bottle must not shatter, and it is the wrong choice for solvents that swell the plastic.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
