Description

Nalgene™ Top Works™ platinum-cured silicone and polypropylene pre-assembled closure with 1/4 in. MPC connector, dip tube and 0,2 micron vent filter provides a ready-to-use sterile interface for aseptic fluid handling in filtration and cell-culture workflows. Sized 53 B, the closure combines platinum-cured silicone with polypropylene to deliver biocompatibility and chemical resistance required for demanding laboratory applications. It is supplied sterile and meets the requirements of USP Class VI. The assembly is intended for use with Nalgene Rapid-Flow filter bottles that have a 45 mm neck and with the Nunc Cell Factory System, enabling secure media transfer, sampling or venting. The integrated dip tube and 0,2 micron vent filter support controlled liquid movement while helping maintain sterility. Offered as a case of two units from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics, this pre-assembled Top Works™ closure reduces preparation time and contamination risk. Its robust construction and validated materials make it suitable for research and production environments that rely on reliable sterile connections for filter bottles and multi-layer cell-culture systems.

Questions about Nalgene™ Top Works™ Platinum-cured Silicone, Polypropylene,

What is this article?

Nalgene™ Top Works™ Platinum-cured Silicone, Polypropylene, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
