Description

neoChoice Cryo-Gloves® mid-arm cryo gloves are fully waterproof protective gloves intended for work in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen and with other cryogenic or cold media such as argon, helium, oxygen and liquefied gases in closed systems, as well as ultra-low-temperature freezers. The mid-arm design extends to a length of 40 cm, combining a seamless inner glove with a PTFE coating for reliable barrier performance. Thermal protection spans approximately −160 °C to +150 °C, so the same gloves can also support tasks in hot atmospheres or autoclave-related handling. They are suitable when infectious or toxic materials are present under the stated temperature conditions and are autoclavable for reprocessing where protocols allow. These gloves from manufacturer neolab correspond to EN 511, EN 420 and EN 388. They are not designed for immersion in liquid nitrogen; use is limited to gas-phase and surface contact applications. The waterproof mid-arm build helps laboratories manage cryogenic sample retrieval, cold-trap work and freezer loading with improved forearm coverage and controlled dexterity.

This article is part of Cryogenic & heat-resistant gloves, in Gloves.

What is this article?

neoChoice Cryo-Gloves® Kryohandschuh - Mittelarm, wasserdicht, Länge: 40 cm, Grö is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Cryogenic & heat-resistant gloves, inside Gloves, in Lab safety equipment.

Cryogenic gloves insulate the hand against very cold surfaces for a short contact. Heat-resistant gloves do the same against heat. Neither is a chemical glove, and neither replaces tongs for immersion. The temperature and the contact time they were tested for are the specification.

A glove is a barrier on the hand, and the barrier is only as good as the hazard it was tested against. Nitrile, latex and vinyl disposable gloves are for splash and for incidental contact. A chemical-resistant glove is a different article, tested for permeation by named chemicals. A cut-resistant glove is for blades and edges. Cold and heat need yet another material. No one glove does all of these. Glove standards are listed under ISO hand protection. The legal text is the PPE Regulation. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP. Practice is at EU-OSHA.
