Description

neoChoice Cryo-Gloves® cryo glove – wrist length, waterproof, size M is a specialised protective glove for laboratory handling of cryogenic and elevated temperatures. These 100% waterproof gloves are intended for work in the liquid-nitrogen gas phase as well as with argon, helium, oxygen and other liquefied gases on closed systems, and for use with ultra-low-temperature freezers. They are equally suitable for tasks in hot atmospheres or autoclaves. Protection extends from -160 °C to +150 °C. A seamless inner glove and PTFE coating render the gloves autoclavable and appropriate for contact with infectious or toxic substances. They are not suitable for immersion in liquid nitrogen. Offered by manufacturer neolab - Labor, the gloves comply with EN 511, EN 420 and EN 388. The wrist-length design supplies practical coverage for routine cryogenic and thermal laboratory work while remaining fully waterproof, supporting controlled handling of extreme-temperature materials in research and technical environments.

This article is part of Cryogenic & heat-resistant gloves, in Gloves.

Questions about neoChoice Cryo-Gloves® Kryohandschuh - Handgelenk, wasserdicht, Größe: M

What is this article?

neoChoice Cryo-Gloves® Kryohandschuh - Handgelenk, wasserdicht, Größe: M is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Cryogenic & heat-resistant gloves, inside Gloves, in Lab safety equipment.

Cryogenic gloves insulate the hand against very cold surfaces for a short contact. Heat-resistant gloves do the same against heat. Neither is a chemical glove, and neither replaces tongs for immersion. The temperature and the contact time they were tested for are the specification.

A glove is a barrier on the hand, and the barrier is only as good as the hazard it was tested against. Nitrile, latex and vinyl disposable gloves are for splash and for incidental contact. A chemical-resistant glove is a different article, tested for permeation by named chemicals. A cut-resistant glove is for blades and edges. Cold and heat need yet another material. No one glove does all of these. Glove standards are listed under ISO hand protection. The legal text is the PPE Regulation. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP. Practice is at EU-OSHA.
