Description

neoChoice cryotubes with internal thread are sterile 4 ml polypropylene tubes with a self-standing base, packed as 100 pieces for organised cryogenic storage. Tubes and screw caps are made of PP and sealed with a silicone gasket; the outer diameter is 12,5 mm. A quick-closure design, graduation marks and a writing field support fast handling and reliable sample labelling. They are autoclavable and temperature-resistant down to −196 °C, for storage only in the vapour phase of liquid nitrogen. The tubes are RNase-, DNase-, pyrogen- and DNA-free and gamma-sterilised, making them suitable for molecular biology, cell banking and long-term cold storage. Supplied in resealable bags from manufacturer neolab - Labor under the neoChoice range, the self-standing format stands stably on the bench without a separate rack. Coloured cap inserts are available separately for visual sample coding across series and freezers.

This article is part of Cryogenic vials & tubes, in Cryogenics & cold storage.

Questions about neoChoice cryo tubes with Innengewinde, sterile, self-standing, 4 ml, 100 pieces/P

What is this article?

neoChoice cryo tubes with Innengewinde, sterile, self-standing, 4 ml, 100 pieces/P is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Cryogenic vials & tubes, inside Cryogenics & cold storage, in Lab consumables.

A cryogenic vial is a small tube with a seal made for very low temperatures. Internal and external threads differ. A vial that will see liquid nitrogen has to be rated for it, and it should not be overfilled, because trapped liquid expands. The cap insert is part of the seal.

Cold storage slows chemistry and keeps cells, proteins and nucleic acids from falling apart. A cryogenic vial is made to survive liquid-nitrogen temperatures and to be sealed against the liquid. A box and a rack are how those vials are found again. The article is not part of free standard delivery when it must stay cold: cold-chain goods are never included in that free delivery. Biosafety of the material inside is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic. Reference lines are held by ATCC.
