Description

PEHANON pH 1,0–2,8 is a pH indicator paper presented as convenient strips for quick determination of acidity in the range from 1,0 to 2,8. The strips measure 11 × 100 mm and are suited to laboratory and industrial spot checks where a defined low-pH interval must be monitored without instrumental titration. Each can holds 200 strips; the offered unit is 2 cans, in line with the minimum order quantity of two packs. The strip format allows direct immersion and visual comparison for routine screening of acidic samples, process liquors and quality-control points. Supplied by manufacturer Macherey-Nagel under the PEHANON line, this grade complements neighbouring PEHANON ranges by covering the 1,0–2,8 band specifically. Clear product designation of the measurable pH limits supports correct selection beside other indicator papers. Apply in accordance with normal good laboratory practice for pH indicator strips and follow the handling guidance provided with the pack.

This article is part of Test strips & indicator papers, in Test kits & water analysis.

Questions about PEHANON pH 1,0 - 2,8

What is this article?

PEHANON pH 1,0 - 2,8 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in Test strips & indicator papers, inside Test kits & water analysis, in Lab chemicals.

A test strip or indicator paper changes colour when it meets an ion, a pH or another analyte. It is a fast, coarse reading. The scale printed on the pack is the only scale that strip may be read against. A wet finger contaminates a pH paper before the sample does.

A test kit turns a chemical question into a colour, a titre or a reading on a strip, so the operator does not have to assemble the method from separate reagents. A cuvette test is a ready optical cell. A strip is a field reading. The range printed on the kit is the range where the answer means something. Outside it, the kit is silent or wrong. The substances inside are on PubChem. Water measurement traces to NIST.
