Description
PH60-DE replacement electrode is the dedicated spare pH probe for the PH60-Z Smart pH meter and is also compatible with the PH60S-Z, PH60F-Z and PC60-Z instruments. It combines a highly sensitive glass-bulb membrane with an integrated temperature sensor, dual ceramic junctions and a bubble-free blue gel internal fill. The double-junction design suits dirty or demanding aqueous samples and can extend electrode service life by up to 80 %. Typical applications include hydroponics, aquaculture, pools and spas, water treatment, environmental monitoring and cooling water. From manufacturer APERA Instruments, the electrode uses an Ag/AgCl reference, lithium-glass sensing membrane and gel KCl electrolyte housed in a polycarbonate body. Technical data specify a pH measuring range of 0 to 14, temperature range 0 to 50 °C and a 30 kΩ thermistor temperature sensor. Dimensions are 75×35×35 mm with a weight of 40 g. The electrode carries a 6-month manufacturer warranty and is supplied as a single unit ready for immediate exchange on compatible APERA Smart meters.

Questions about PH60-DE Replacement Probe for PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester
What is this article?
PH60-DE Replacement Probe for PH60-Z Smart Pocket pH Tester is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
