Description

PH60-MT pH meter set for meat and solid food samples pairs the portable professional PH60 meter with the LabSen 765 ATC/pH blade electrode for accurate pH measurement in meat and solid food matrices. The spear-shaped membrane and open-plus-ceramic diaphragm enable laboratory-quality readings in demanding samples. An IP67-rated housing provides waterproof and dustproof protection and remains buoyant. Intelligent features comprise automatic 1- to 3-point calibration, automatic temperature compensation and a Heads-Up function. Accuracy reaches ±0,01 pH over −2,00 to 16,00 pH; ORP range is ±1000 mV and temperature measurement covers 0 to 50 °C. The complete set from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes the PH60 meter, LabSen 765 blade electrode (0–14 pH, 0–80 °C, type-S spear membrane, titanium blade housing, polymer electrolyte, durable reference, 115 mm length, 12 mm diameter, 8-pin cable), calibration solutions (pH 4,00; 7,00; 10,01, 50 ml each), three calibration vials, 3M KCl storage solution, CalBox and carrying case. Four AAA batteries deliver up to 1000 hours of operation. Meter size is 40×40×178 mm (case 255×210×50 mm); weight is 133 g (700 g with case). The meter is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty (6 months on the electrode).

Questions about PH60 Premium pH pocket meter

What is this article?

PH60 Premium pH pocket meter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
