Description

PH700-HT benchtop pH meter for high-temperature liquids is a laboratory instrument for fast and reliable pH measurements with a LabSen 863 pH/Temp. electrode suited to high temperatures, complex or corrosive liquids and general aqueous solutions. Automatic 1- to 3-point calibration includes self-diagnosis and electrode-condition display. Max/Min reading mode supports rapid analysis of measurements over a defined period, and up to 50 data sets can be stored. The meter provides a pH range of 0,00 to 14,00 with resolution 0,1/0,01 and accuracy ±0,01 ± 1 digit, mV range ±1999 mV (resolution 1 mV, accuracy ±0,1 % F.S. ± 1 digit) and temperature compensation 0 to 100 °C (automatic or manual). Housing protection is IP54. Dimensions are 24 × 23,5 × 10,3 cm; weight is 1 kg (1,8 kg with case). The LabSen 863 electrode covers 1 to 13 pH and recommended use from 0 to 130 °C, with lead-free glass shaft, PHY membrane, silver-ion barrier reference, PTFE diaphragm, 30 kΩ NTC sensor and gel KCl electrolyte. The complete set from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes the meter, electrode, holder, pH 4,00 / 7,00 / 10,01 calibration solutions (50 ml each) and DC 9 V power supply.

Questions about PH700 Benchtop pH Meter incl. pH electrode

What is this article?

PH700 Benchtop pH Meter incl. pH electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
