Description
Precision balance ADAM Series Luna with external calibration provides a capacity of 6000 g and a readability of 0,1 g for routine laboratory weighing. Operating modes cover standard weighing, percent calculation, piece counting, animal and dynamic weighing, and density determination. Results are shown on a large backlit LCD in g, mg, ct, GN, oz, ozt, dwt or a user-defined unit. USB and RS-232 interfaces support data transfer and GLP printouts when an optional printer is connected. The instrument combines an ABS housing with a large stainless steel weighing pan; external dimensions for this model class are 224 × 374 × 95 mm, while 120 mm pan versions with plastic draft protection measure 224 × 374 × 219 mm. Supplied with a handbook, it operates on 200–240 V / 50–60 Hz and carries a five-year warranty. Net weight is 4,600 kg. An optional manufacturer calibration certificate can be ordered with the balance. This Luna series precision balance from manufacturer Labbox suits general laboratory and quality-control work that relies on external calibration.

Questions about Precision balance, ADAM, Luna series, external cal., 6000 g x 0,1 g, EU plug
What is this article?
Precision balance, ADAM, Luna series, external cal., 6000 g x 0,1 g, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
