Description
Precision balance (DMS) KERN PFB 600-3 is a compact laboratory instrument with a weighing range of 600 g and a readability of 0,001 g. Checkweighing is supported by optical and acoustic signals that assist portioning, dosing or sorting within tolerance limits. The measuring system’s exceptionally high resolution is intended to maintain high accuracy across elevated weighing ranges. All main functions have dedicated keys on the control panel in line with the uniform KERN operating concept from manufacturer Kern. Compact dimensions suit workplaces with limited space. A rising bar-graph capacity indicator displays the remaining available weighing range. Spirit level and foot screws are standard for exact levelling and precise results. A removable draft shield is included; the weighing chamber measures 140 × 150 × 65 mm (W×D×H). Supplied as 1 pc(s), this DMS precision balance is appropriate for fine and precision weighing tasks in analytical, research and quality-control laboratories.

Questions about Precision balance (SG) PFB 600-3,, Weighing range 600 g, Readout 0,001 g
What is this article?
Precision balance (SG) PFB 600-3,, Weighing range 600 g, Readout 0,001 g is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
