Description

qpore® Bottle-Top Filter with hydrophilic polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane is a sterile bottle-top unit for vacuum filtration of larger sample volumes directly into sterile bottles. The membrane offers a 0,22 µm pore size and 50 mm diameter within a 250 ml graduated upper housing, supporting clear volume control and fast flow during under-pressure work. A GL 45 screw closure and hose connection allow secure mounting for bottle-top vacuum applications, while a quick-connect fitting accepts tubing with an internal diameter of 8–12 mm. Blue colour coding helps identify the filter type quickly on the bench. Units are sterile, pyrogen-free and free from detergents, and each filter is individually sterile packed; outer packaging includes a tear-open aid for tool-free opening. Supplied in packs of 24 pieces from manufacturer neolab - Labor, these bottle-top filters suit sterile filtration of cell culture media, microbiological media, buffer solutions and other biological solutions in research and routine laboratory workflows where reliable membrane performance and convenient bottle connection are required.

Questions about qpore® Bottle-Top-Filter, PVDF, 250 ml, 0,22 µm, Ø 50 mm 24 St./Pack

What is this article?

qpore® Bottle-Top-Filter, PVDF, 250 ml, 0,22 µm, Ø 50 mm 24 St./Pack is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle-top & vacuum filtration units, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A bottle-top filter or a vacuum filtration unit sits on a bottle and pulls a liquid through a membrane under vacuum. Pore size and membrane are the same choice as a syringe filter, at a larger area. A sterile unit is a stated claim. The bottle neck has to match.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
