Description

Personal protection plug KM-PSS16 is an important accessory for laboratory heating mantles. Where a residual-current circuit breaker (FI/RCD) is not installed, this plug is urgently recommended for personal protection during operation of heating mantles. It is permanently mounted on the supply lead in place of the existing Schuko plug. Electrical characteristics include a trip current greater than 30 mA, a trip time of less than 30 ms and a maximum load of 3600 W at 16 A. The plug is rated for a nominal voltage of 230 V AC, offers protection class IP40 and is GS-tested. Supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,3 kg, the KM-PSS16 from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik provides residual-current protection directly at the appliance connection. It is intended for professional laboratory use wherever heating mantles require additional personal protection integrated into the power cord, supporting safer everyday operation of electrically heated laboratory equipment.

This article is part of Rubber & silicone stoppers, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about RCD (residual current detection) plug KM-PSS16

What is this article?

RCD (residual current detection) plug KM-PSS16 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Rubber & silicone stoppers, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A rubber or silicone stopper is pushed into a mouth. The size number corresponds to a top and bottom diameter. Silicone survives higher temperatures and more autoclave cycles. Natural rubber is attacked by oils and by some solvents.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
