RCT basic ETS-D5 Solution S002 is a complete magnetic stirrer with heating system that makes laboratory experiments and reactions safer. The package combines the RCT basic magnetic stirrer with the electronic contact thermometer ETS-D5 and all required mounting elements, and is supplied with a UK plug. By linking both instruments, the internal safety circuit of the stirrer—independent of its software—can be addressed directly by the contact thermometer. Maximum permissible medium temperature is limited independently of the set temperature; if this value is exceeded, heating shuts off via the safety circuit until the device is restarted, while stirring continues to help avoid bumping. Set-point limitation of the ETS-D5 and the hotplate safety temperature form an OR link, so any potential fault alone disables heating. Hotplate temperature can also be set independently of the medium to influence heat-up times actively. The ETS-D5 expands the display: set and actual medium temperatures are shown at a glance with 0,1 K resolution, and setting accuracy is refined from 1 K to 0,1 K. The RCT additionally indicates current hotplate temperature, and the contact thermometer display can be placed at eye level.
