RCT basic ETS-D5 Solution S003 is a complete magnetic stirrer with heating system engineered to increase safety during laboratory experiments and reactions. It comprises the RCT basic magnetic stirrer, the electronic contact thermometer ETS-D5 and all necessary mounting elements, and is fitted with a Swiss plug. Combining both devices allows the stirrer’s internal safety circuit—independent of its software—to be addressed directly by the contact thermometer. The maximum permissible temperature in the medium is limited independently of the set temperature; if this limit is exceeded, the heating function switches off via the safety circuit until restart, while stirring remains active to reduce the risk of bumping. Set-point limitation of the ETS-D5 and the hotplate safety temperature act as an OR link, so each potential fault alone can shut off heating. Hotplate temperature may also be adjusted independently of the medium, giving active control over heat-up times. With the ETS-D5, set and actual medium temperatures are displayed at 0,1 K resolution and setting accuracy improves from 1 K to 0,1 K; the RCT shows the current hotplate temperature in parallel. The contact thermometer display can be positioned at eye level for clear visibility of the measurement point.
