Description

Rotilabo® ridged sleeves are PTFE sealing sleeves for conical ground joints NS 34/35, intended to form a secure interface between larger matching glassware components. Their ridged profile assists even seating in the joint, supports correct alignment during assembly of apparatus and facilitates removal after use, helping protect ground joint surfaces in frequent setups. Constructed from PTFE, the sleeves deliver chemical resistance appropriate for distillation, extraction and general laboratory glassware applications involving many common solvents and reagents. They address NS 34/35 conical joints used in research, teaching and process-oriented laboratory work where a grease-free seal is desired. Each pack contains 5 pc(s) and weighs approximately 0,006 kg, making them a compact consumable for larger joint sizes kept on glassware benches. These Rotilabo® ridged sleeves from manufacturer ROTH SELECTION sit within seals for ground glass joints and ridged sleeves, complementary to laboratory glass components employed in distillation and extraction assemblies.

This article is part of Distillation heads, adapters & columns, in Distillation & extraction glassware.

What is this article?

Rotilabo®-ridged sleeves, PTFE, conical ground joint NS 34/35, 5 unit(s) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labware.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
