Description

Rotor 2 × MTP plate (A-2-VC) is a swing-out rotor supplied with two hangers for use on Concentrator plus and concentrator/Vacufuge systems. It accommodates microtest, PCR and deepwell plates up to 27 mm in height, with a nominal volume of 200 µl per position. For PCR and microtest plates without a frame, a work plate with frame is available. The rotor is autoclavable for 20 min at 121 °C and is suitable for the CombiSlide adapter, supporting flexible plate-based concentration and vacuum centrifugation workflows. Two plate positions enable parallel processing of microplates within the stated height limit. This rotor from manufacturer Eppendorf belongs to the swing-out rotor range for Concentrator plus instruments. Net weight is 0,990 kg and gross weight is 1,100 kg, with a packaging volume of 0,006 m³. The product is supplied as 1 pc and originates from Germany (Saxony). Dual-use classification is not applicable. Laboratories use the A-2-VC when plate formats must be concentrated under swing-out geometry on Concentrator plus.

This article is part of Ultrafiltration & concentrators, in Filtration.

Questions about ROTOR 2xMTP PLATE (A-2-VC) F/CONC/VACUF

What is this article?

ROTOR 2xMTP PLATE (A-2-VC) F/CONC/VACUF is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrafiltration & concentrators, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

An ultrafiltration device holds back macromolecules above a stated molecular-weight cutoff and passes salts and water. It concentrates a protein or exchanges its buffer. The cutoff, the volume and whether it is a centrifugal device or a stirred cell are the specification. A 0.2 µm syringe filter does not do this.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
