Its Q ligand provides strong anion-exchange functionality for monoclonal antibody polishing, enabling removal of viruses, DNA, host cell proteins, leached Protein A, and endotoxins. Size-exclusion effects are negligible, so the capsule is also suited to purification of viruses such as adeno- or lentiviruses and can deliver about one order of magnitude higher dynamic binding capacity for these larger species. The unit combines a 400 mL bed volume with a 4 mm bed height in a convenient capsule format, supplied as 1 pc. Net weight is 1,300 kg and gross weight is 3,060 kg.
