Description

SK N9-L screw cap, green, RR orange/FEP, 45°, 1,0 mm is an N 9 polypropylene screw closure with a centre hole for chromatography and sample-handling vials. The green PP cap is fitted with a Red Rubber/FEP colourless septum specified at 45° Shore A hardness and 1,0 mm septum thickness, combining a resilient rubber face with an FEP contact layer for chemical resistance toward many solvents used in GC and HPLC workflows. Packaged as 100 pieces, the closures suit routine vial sealing where needle penetration and resealing performance matter. The open-top design allows autosampler injection while the screw thread secures the septum on matching N 9 vials. These screw caps from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel are intended for analytical laboratories that standardise on N 9 neck finishes and prefer a defined septum hardness and thickness for reproducible sampling. Use with compatible vials and follow normal laboratory practice for clean handling of septa to avoid contamination of samples and standards during preparation and analysis.

This article is part of Screw caps & closures, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about SC N9-H, grn, RR or/FEP, 45°, 1.0

What is this article?

SC N9-H, grn, RR or/FEP, 45°, 1.0 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
