Description
The SG68-B SevenGo Duo pro pH/ION/DO is a professional two-channel handheld meter for pH, ion concentration and dissolved oxygen in demanding laboratory and field work. It offers manual or automatic air-pressure compensation via a built-in barometer (500 to 1100 mbar), a backlit LCD, large data memory for detailed GLP protocols and an infrared interface for transfer to a printer or PC (via RS232 or USB), plus numerous parameter-specific functions. Dissolved oxygen covers 0,0 to 600 % or 0,00 to 99,00 mg/L with resolution of 0,1 to 1 % or 0,01 mg/L and accuracy of ±0,5 %; the DO temperature range is 0,0 to 60,0 °C at 0,1 °C resolution and ±0,1 °C accuracy. The pH range extends from −2,000 to 19,999 with selectable resolution 0,1/0,01/0,001 and relative accuracy ±0,01; mV spans −1999,9 to 1999,9 at 0,1 mV resolution and ±0,1 relative accuracy. Temperature support includes ATC −5,0 to 105,0 °C and MTC −30 to 130 °C (0,1 °C resolution, ±0,2 °C accuracy). Power comes from four 1,5 V AA batteries or 1,3 V NiMH accumulators. This instrument-only package from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine comprises the meter, operating instructions, declaration of conformity, test certificate and batteries; net weight is 1,66 kg.

Questions about SevenGo Duo pH/Ion/DO meter SG68
What is this article?
SevenGo Duo pH/Ion/DO meter SG68 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
