Description

Si-3 TP (HR) silicate/silicic acid powder test is a photometric reagent set for quantitative determination of silicate (as Si) in aqueous samples over the measuring range 0,5–93 mg/l Si. The procedure follows the silicomolybdate method and corresponds to US standard 4500-SiO2 C, delivering reliable colour development for photometric evaluation. Each pack contains material for 100 tests and requires a sample volume of 25 ml; measurements are performed in round cuvettes of 20 mm or 28 mm diameter. The reagents are fully compatible with PhotoLab® and pHotoFlex® instruments and are supplied by manufacturer WTW – a Xylem brand. Batch certificates can be obtained on request, supporting documentation needs in regulated laboratories. Typical applications include drinking-water and process-water monitoring, boiler-feed control, environmental surveillance and industrial quality assurance where accurate silicic-acid data are essential. The powder-test format offers convenient handling, defined stoichiometry and consistent performance across the stated concentration window, making the kit a practical choice for routine laboratory workflows that demand both precision and throughput.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

Questions about Si-3 TP (HR), Silicate/Silica Powder pillow Measuring rang

What is this article?

Si-3 TP (HR), Silicate/Silica Powder pillow Measuring rang is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Lab chemicals.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
