Description

SICCO Auto-Glove Box with Airlock is a controlled-atmosphere laboratory glove box with an aluminium frame, acrylic glass panels and a polyethylene base. Overall external dimensions are 1210 x 700 x 600 mm, offering a usable interior of 850 x 650 x 540 mm, a main-chamber volume of 290 litres and an airlock volume of 24 litres. The front carries two access openings with one pair of size 9 natural rubber gloves; the rear provides two cable glands (upper right and left). Hygrometers are fitted in both the working chamber and the airlock. The right-hand airlock has dual doors with an outer latch and a tray that projects into the work space on opening for easy product transfer. Automatic drying units mounted on the rear of the working chamber, together with desiccant cassettes in the outer wall of the airlock, reduce relative humidity in both compartments to below 20 %; saturated silica-gel cassettes can be exchanged for regeneration. A 230 V / 50 Hz mains supply is required. The hinged lid opening is 850 x 425 mm. Load ratings are 40 kg for the box and 3 kg for the airlock. This configuration from manufacturer Bohlender suits dry handling and humidity-sensitive laboratory work.

Questions about SICCO Auto Glove Box with Transfer Chamber, B 1210 mm x H 700 mm x T 600 mm ACRY

What is this article?

SICCO Auto Glove Box with Transfer Chamber, B 1210 mm x H 700 mm x T 600 mm ACRY is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Fume cupboards & extraction, inside Safety cabinets & hazardous storage, in Lab safety equipment.

A fume cupboard draws air away from the operator and contains a splash. Face velocity and the sash height at which that velocity was measured are the specification. A recirculating filtered cupboard and a ducted cupboard are different machines. Extraction arms are the smaller, local version.

A safety cabinet keeps a dangerous liquid in a box that is meant to resist fire or to contain a spill for a stated time. The cabinet is chosen by what is stored: flammables, corrosives, or both, in the volume that will actually be in the room. A spill tray is the smaller version of the same idea. A fume cupboard is different: it is airflow that carries vapour away from the face. The rule for equipment worn or used to protect people is the PPE Regulation. Workplace practice is discussed by EU-OSHA on dangerous substances. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP.
