Description
SICCO Glove Box Duo 2 with Airlock Antistatic is a dual-access enclosure engineered for electrostatic-sensitive laboratory work. It uses an aluminium frame with dissipative polycarbonate panels and a dissipative polyethylene base, measuring 1200 x 710 x 890 mm externally. Front and rear sides each incorporate a door opening and two opposing glove ports fitted with two pairs of size 9,75 dissipative EPDM gloves, plus two cable lead-throughs on the lower left. The right-hand airlock has two doors with an outer latch against accidental opening; the tray projects into the working space when opened to simplify product transfer. Airlock operation is limited to the front right workstation side. Chamber and airlock each include two hose connections for gassing and ventilation together with matching hoses (2x 5 m PVC gassing hose and 2x 5 m PE ventilation hose). All materials can dissipate electrostatic charge via a rear-connectable earthing cable (M6 thread). Internal volumes are 475 litres (box) and 24 litres (airlock), with maximum loads of 60 kg and 3 kg. Usable interior is 850 x 665 x 845 mm. Supplied by manufacturer Bohlender at approximately 31,5 kg net weight, the unit supports controlled atmospheres where charge control is required.

Questions about SICCO Glove Box Duo 2 with Transfer Chamber Antistatic, B 1200 x H 710 x T 890 m
What is this article?
SICCO Glove Box Duo 2 with Transfer Chamber Antistatic, B 1200 x H 710 x T 890 m is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Fume cupboards & extraction, inside Safety cabinets & hazardous storage, in Lab safety equipment.
A fume cupboard draws air away from the operator and contains a splash. Face velocity and the sash height at which that velocity was measured are the specification. A recirculating filtered cupboard and a ducted cupboard are different machines. Extraction arms are the smaller, local version.
A safety cabinet keeps a dangerous liquid in a box that is meant to resist fire or to contain a spill for a stated time. The cabinet is chosen by what is stored: flammables, corrosives, or both, in the volume that will actually be in the room. A spill tray is the smaller version of the same idea. A fume cupboard is different: it is airflow that carries vapour away from the face. The rule for equipment worn or used to protect people is the PPE Regulation. Workplace practice is discussed by EU-OSHA on dangerous substances. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP.
