Description

SICCO Intermediate Shelf for the Star-Desiccator Double is a stainless-steel intermediate shelf supplied with two guide rails and dimensioned 565 mm × 0,8 mm × 320 mm (width × height × depth). The shelf plate is stainless steel and carries 32 circular perforations of 10 mm diameter to support air and humidity exchange around stored items. Guide rails are made of polyamide, offering smooth guidance and suitable chemical resistance for routine desiccator service. Including the guide rails, the assembly weighs approximately 1,34 kg. Perforated stainless-steel shelves of this design help laboratories organise crucibles, containers or sample sets inside double Star desiccator cabinets while maintaining the dry internal climate needed for hygroscopic substances and sensitive materials. The accessory forms part of the SICCO programme from manufacturer Bohlender and is intended specifically for Star-Desiccator Double units. Supplied as one complete set with two polyamide guide rails, it serves as a replacement level or an additional storage plane. The combination of a thin stainless-steel plate, defined Ø 10 mm perforations and polyamide rails supports stable loading and straightforward cleaning in analytical and quality-control environments.

What is this article?

SICCO Shelf, B 565 mm x H 0,5 mm x T 320 mm STAINLESS STEEL including rails made is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory furniture & workbenches, inside Safety cabinets & hazardous storage, in Lab safety equipment.

A laboratory bench and its furniture are the work surface, the under-bench cupboard and the frame. Chemical resistance of the top, the load and whether the bench is fixed or mobile are the choices. A bench is not a fume cupboard and it is not a rated safety cabinet.

A safety cabinet keeps a dangerous liquid in a box that is meant to resist fire or to contain a spill for a stated time. The cabinet is chosen by what is stored: flammables, corrosives, or both, in the volume that will actually be in the room. A spill tray is the smaller version of the same idea. A fume cupboard is different: it is airflow that carries vapour away from the face. The rule for equipment worn or used to protect people is the PPE Regulation. Workplace practice is discussed by EU-OSHA on dangerous substances. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP.
