Description

SONOPULS HD 4200 ultrasonic homogeniser is a laboratory system for sample volumes from 5 to 1000 ml, supplied as a ready-to-operate basic set for 20 ml to 900 ml. The configuration comprises ultrasonic generator GM 4200, ultrasonic transducer UW 200, stepped horn SH 200 G and titanium plate TT 213 with a diameter of 13 mm, plus tools for sonotrode mounting. Amplitude is adjustable from 10 to 100 % with actual-value display; pulsation, an integrated timer and remote controllability support flexible, reproducible workflows. AMPLICHRON® circuitry maintains constant amplitude independent of changing process conditions. Rated at 200 W nominal power, the instrument from manufacturer Bandelin is intended for disruption of cells, bacteria, viruses and tissue, preparation of fine emulsions, homogenisation of substances, degassing of liquids, sample preparation for particle-size analysis and acceleration of chemical reactions. Compatible sonotrodes are available in diameters of 3 / 4,5 / 6 / 9 / 13 / 16 / 19 and 25 mm. Units carry CE marking for laboratory use.

This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about SONOPULS HD 4050 Ultrasonic homogeniser

What is this article?

SONOPULS HD 4050 Ultrasonic homogeniser is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
