Description

SONOPULS HD 4400 is a laboratory ultrasonic homogeniser designed for sample volumes from 100 to 3000 ml. Supplied as a complete, ready-to-use basic set for 500 to 2000 ml, it includes the GM 4400 ultrasonic generator, UW 400 ultrasonic transducer, SH 400 G stepped horn and TS 425 titanium sonotrode (diameter 25 mm), plus the mounting tool for the sonotrodes. Amplitude regulation from 10 to 100 % is combined with actual-value display, pulsation, an integrated timer and remote controllability. The AMPLICHRON® circuit ensures constant amplitude regardless of varying load conditions during operation. Rated at 400 W nominal power, the homogeniser from manufacturer Bandelin supports cell, bacterial, viral and tissue disruption, production of fine emulsions, homogenisation of substances, degassing of liquids, sample preparation for particle-size analysis and acceleration of chemical reactions. With a net weight of 7,08 kg, the unit is practical for everyday use on the laboratory bench in research and quality-control environments.

Questions about SONOPULS HD 4100 Ultrasonic homogeniser

What is this article?

SONOPULS HD 4100 Ultrasonic homogeniser is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
