STAMMOPUR GR instrument basic cleaner is a concentrate for manual basic cleaning of medical and dental instruments, accessories and medical-device components in an ultrasonic bath. It is intended for trained professional users during instrument maintenance and repair workflows in CSSD/AEMP units as well as medical and dental practices, outside regular reprocessing cycles. The strongly acidic formulation removes temper colours, metal oxides such as rust, mineral residues including limescale, and soils baked on by sterilisation from stainless steel, precious metals, titanium, glass, porcelain, ceramics and plastics. It is not suitable for acid-sensitive materials such as light metals or damaged chrome plating. Use only in insert vessels within the ultrasonic bath; effective cleaning requires ultrasound and elevated temperature of 50–60 °C at a typical 5 % dilution, with contact times of 3–10 minutes. Composition per 100 g includes more than 10 % phosphoric acid together with non-ionic and cationic surfactants. The preparation is biodegradable and must be diluted with water of at least drinking-water quality; no additives may be mixed into the cleaning solution. Optics, light guides, bonded parts, drills and other small rotating instruments must not be treated.
