Description

Pipette container 315–530 mm for storage and autoclaving is a cylindrical aluminium canister for organising plastic pipettes and glass laboratory articles between roughly 150 mm and 530 mm long, such as stirring rods, serological pipettes, Pasteur pipettes, volumetric pipettes, and graduated pipettes. With an adjustable working length of 315–530 mm, it covers longer glassware while remaining practical for bench storage. The lid glides smoothly on the quiver for gentle, easy opening and closing during routine use. Both quiver and lid are aluminium and each is equipped at the base with a silicone pad that cushions stored glass pipettes and lowers breakage risk if the container is knocked on the bottom or lid. The design gives steam direct access to the load, supporting effective autoclave sterilisation. Bottom inner dimensions are 60 × 60 mm with outer dimensions 62 × 62 mm; the top section is 62,75 × 62,75 mm inside and 68,70 × 68,70 mm outside. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Hirschmann, this longer pipette box has a net weight of 0,5 kg and forms part of a four-length cylindrical pipette-container range for laboratory storage and autoclaving.

This article is part of Sample containers & jars, in Bottles & containers.

What is this article?

STERILIZ. PIPETTE BOX315-530MM, FOR STORING AND AUTOCLAVING is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hirschmann for laboratory use. It sits in Sample containers & jars, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A sample container or jar is the vessel the sample travels in, with a closure that survives the trip. The volume and the liner decide whether the sample that arrives is the sample that was taken.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
