Description

The testo 206-pH1 is a compact pH and temperature measuring instrument for reliable determination of pH value and temperature in liquids such as drinking or heating water, and also in viscous-plastic media. pH and temperature are key quality-assurance parameters in the food sector, cosmetics industry, and sanitary, heating and climate applications. The pH probe is ideally suited to liquids yet remains usable in thicker media, while the integrated temperature sensor provides precise, rapid temperature compensation for accurate pH results. Maintenance-free gel electrolyte keeps the probe leak-proof and insensitive to soiling; the ring-gap diaphragm supports fast, dependable readings. pH and temperature are shown simultaneously on the clear display, and Auto-Hold freezes the value once it stabilises. The instrument from manufacturer Testo is supplied with a dishwasher-safe TopSafe protective cover that achieves IP68 waterproofing when fitted, a gel-filled storage cap for probe care between measurements, and a belt or wall holder. Optional calibration dosing bottles support probe calibration, or the corresponding starter set that includes them may be selected.

This article is part of Digital thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

What is this article?

testo 206-pH1 - pH/temperature,, measuring instrument for liquids is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Digital thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A digital thermometer is a display plus a sensor. The resolution on the screen can be finer than the accuracy. The stated accuracy and the calibration point are what the number is worth. The probe type has to be the one the meter expects.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
