Description

Thread adapter for Dispensette®, Titrette®, seripettor® and QuikSip™ is a PTFE bottle adapter that links liquid-handling instruments with outer thread GL 45 to reagent bottles with an S 40 neck thread. The chemically resistant PTFE body is intended for secure mechanical coupling between the instrument and the bottle, supporting routine dispensing, titration and aspiration setups in the laboratory. On the instrument side the adapter presents a GL 45 thread; on the bottle side it matches S 40 bottle threads, so existing vessels can be used without changing the primary container format. This configuration is useful whenever Brand bottle-top dispensers, bottle-top burettes or related dosing devices must be mounted on S 40 bottles. The adapter is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,0197 kg and a gross weight of 0,02 kg, and it is specified as non-sterile. Compact packaging dimensions keep the accessory easy to store beside the corresponding instruments. As a dedicated thread interface from manufacturer Brand, it extends the bottle compatibility of Dispensette®, seripettor®, Titrette® and QuikSip™ systems where an S 40 connection is required.

This article is part of Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about Thread adapter Disp./Titrette/seripettor, PTFE out.thr.GL 45 f.bottle thread S 4

What is this article?

Thread adapter Disp./Titrette/seripettor, PTFE out.thr.GL 45 f.bottle thread S 4 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Brand for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
