Description

Three-necked round-bottom flask, 2000 ml is a multi-neck laboratory vessel for reaction, distillation and synthesis setups that need several simultaneous connections. It provides a centre neck with ground joint 24/29 together with two side necks sized 19/26, so condensers, addition funnels, thermometers or other ground-joint accessories can be fitted at once. The side necks are angled to keep attached apparatus clear of one another and to improve access on the bench. Produced in DURAN® glass from manufacturer Lenz, this piece belongs to the standard range of round flasks with ground glass joints used in chemical laboratories. Its 2000 ml capacity suits medium-scale preparations, while the round-bottom geometry supports even heating and stirring with conventional heating mantles or baths. Each flask is supplied as 1 pc and weighs 0,690 kg. The ground joints follow common laboratory NS sizes, allowing ready integration into existing glassware assemblies for multi-component reactions, reflux work and preparative procedures in research and teaching environments.

Questions about Three-necked round-bottom flask, 2000 ml, Centre neck 24/29, side neck 19/26

What is this article?

Three-necked round-bottom flask, 2000 ml, Centre neck 24/29, side neck 19/26 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Lenz for laboratory use. It sits in Round-bottom flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
