Description

Nalgene™ 180 clear PVC plastic tubing is laboratory-grade flexible tubing for a wide range of non-medical fluid-transfer applications. Manufactured from high-purity polyvinyl chloride with specialised plasticisers, the transparent hose resists hardening and discolouration from many chemicals while remaining dimensionally stable in everyday lab use. This size offers an inner diameter of 9,5 mm, an outer diameter of 14,3 mm and a wall thickness of 2,4 mm, supplied as one 50 ft (15,24 m) length roll. Marked at regular intervals for easy identification and measurement, the tubing corresponds to Tygon™ R-3603 type performance, shows a Shore A hardness of 55 and is autoclavable. It meets relevant FFDCA food-additive provisions as well as USDA plastic-material and USP Class VI requirements. Maximum working pressure reaches 36 psig at 23 °C (18 psig at 52 °C). This Nalgene™ 180 tubing from manufacturer Thermo Scientific – Laboratory Plastics is intended for clear, durable connections in laboratory fluid handling where purity, flexibility and chemical resistance are essential. Note: product is to be discontinued when stocks are depleted.

Questions about To be discontinued when stocks depleted TUBING-180-PVC 3/8X9/16X3/32 50FT

What is this article?

To be discontinued when stocks depleted TUBING-180-PVC 3/8X9/16X3/32 50FT is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
