The echo-echo mode determines true wall thickness independently of any coating, so coated pipes and components can be assessed non-destructively without stripping the surface; the display already corrects for coating thickness. An external measuring head (⌀ 10 mm, SAUTER ATU-US12) is required for echo-echo work and is included. A USB data interface is fitted as standard. Operators select scan mode at 10 measurements per second or single-point measurement, and internal memory stores up to 20 files with up to 100 values each.
