Description

Universal Waste Hub "JAN", S60/61, electrically conductive is a multifunctional collection solution for liquid laboratory waste. The hub combines a safety funnel with lid, multiple hose and HPLC connections, and an integrated exhaust filter in one compact assembly. High-quality PE-HD and PTFE materials provide chemical resistance and long service life. The funnel lid incorporates a sealing lip to minimise escape of harmful vapours, while a removable dirt sieve simplifies cleaning. A 140 mm funnel basin supports high flow rates for larger liquid volumes. The electrically conductive version includes a grounding cable, making it suitable for flammable or explosive waste streams. Supplied accessories comprise 4× 1,6/2,3/3,2 mm OD fittings, 4× PFA blanking plugs, 3× 5,0–11,5 mm ID connections, 3× PTFE blanking plugs, plus exhaust filter size M with splash guard and change indicator. The complete unit is delivered as 1 pc from manufacturer SCAT. Thread size S60/61 allows direct mounting or expansion via adapters, and the hub remains compatible with all SCAT exhaust filter sizes. This design delivers enhanced safety compared with conventional open funnels for daily waste collection.

Questions about Universal Waste Hub ''JAN'', S60/61, electrostatic conductive

What is this article?

Universal Waste Hub ''JAN'', S60/61, electrostatic conductive is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Waste containers & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.

A waste container is chosen by the waste: a wide-mouth jar for solid contaminated waste, a can for solvent, a carboy for aqueous waste. The material has to survive the waste, and the closure has to be the one the waste contractor accepts. Volume and neck are the practical specification.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
