Description
Rotor P-19 with V-blades of tungsten carbide hard metal and counter knife is a high-performance cutting rotor for laboratory cutting mills. The V-shaped blades together with matching counter knives made of tungsten carbide hard metal comminute the sample by a gentle cutting action combined with additional impact and shear forces. This dual mechanism improves size-reduction efficiency compared with pure cutting rotors while still treating the material carefully. The hard-metal construction provides excellent wear resistance for abrasive or tough samples. Alternative rotors with V-blades in tool steel or with straight blades are available for less demanding materials; a disc-mill rotor with indexable inserts offers maximum durability for extreme applications such as circuit board scrap containing glass fibre. The present rotor is supplied by manufacturer Fritsch as a complete P-19 unit. Net weight is 4,0 kg. For RoHS/WEEE sample preparation and XRF analysis, chromium-free tool-steel cutting sets are recommended as complementary accessories. Ideal for reproducible laboratory sample preparation requiring both cutting and shear action.

Questions about V-rotor P-19 made of hardmetal tungsten carbide
What is this article?
V-rotor P-19 made of hardmetal tungsten carbide is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Fritsch for laboratory use. It sits in Timers, stopwatches & calculators, inside Tools & accessories, in Labware.
A timer or stopwatch measures a duration the method states: a stain, a titration endpoint approach, a viscosity run. The resolution and whether it can be clamped to a bench are the practical differences.
The small tools of the bench are what the hand actually holds: a spatula for a powder, forceps for an object that must stay clean, a brush for a narrow neck, a desiccator when a dried sample must not take up water again. None of these reads a measurement. They keep the measurement possible. The apparatus around them is listed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
