Description
Vacuum drying oven VD056UL-120V is a BINDER VD series unit for gentle drying with precise temperature control. The operating range extends from +9 °C above ambient temperature up to +220 °C, with a nominal volume of 55 l. A controller provides digital display of pressure and temperature, while program-controlled drying monitoring includes automatic ventilation at process end. An internal data logger stores measured values that can be read out via USB in an open format; Ethernet is available as the computer interface. One individually positionable aluminium expansion rack supports patented heat transfer, and the interior is easy to clean. Universal ventilation can be used with inert gas or ambient air, and a DN 16 feed-through allows introduction of external measuring equipment. A spring-mounted safety glass pane with splinter protection and a large viewing window complete the chamber design. This oven from manufacturer Binder is supplied as 1 piece for laboratory vacuum drying workflows requiring controlled temperature and pressure conditions, with US mains plug type A/B.

Questions about Vacuum drying chambers VD056UL-120V
What is this article?
Vacuum drying chambers VD056UL-120V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Binder for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
