Description
Volumetric pipette 1 ml of soda-lime glass, Class AS with blue print, is intended for precise measuring and transferring of liquids in laboratory volumetry. These one-mark pipettes deliver only a defined total volume and are adjusted to deliver (Ex) at the +20 °C reference temperature. Volume tolerances match the error limits of the German Calibration Regulations as well as ISO and DIN requirements. Fabricated from soda-lime glass to Class AS accuracy, the pipette carries a permanently burned-in blue scale for long-lasting readability. Units supplied with accuracy class AS and a batch number include a batch certificate that records the mean value obtained from measurements of the respective batch, the standard deviation and the date of issue; certificates can also be retrieved online. The four-digit batch number encodes the production year in the first two digits and the batch in the last two (example 18.01). Full drainage permits uptake of differing liquid quantities followed by complete delivery of the contents, while the rapid-drain design shortens waiting time markedly relative to Class A. This volumetric pipette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is well suited to accurate liquid handling, volumetric analysis and transfer of a fixed total volume. Supplied as 1 piece.
This article is part of Volumetric pipettes, in Pipettes & pipette tips.

Questions about Volumetric Pipette, soda-lime glass, Class AS, blue print, CoC, batch certificat
What is this article?
Volumetric Pipette, soda-lime glass, Class AS, blue print, CoC, batch certificat is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric pipettes, inside Pipettes & pipette tips, in Lab consumables.
A volumetric pipette has a single mark and a bulb, and it delivers one volume with a tighter tolerance than a graduated pipette. It is for preparing standards. It is not for reagents that attack glass, and it is not a blow-out pipette unless it is marked as one.
A pipette moves a measured volume. A volumetric pipette delivers one line. A graduated pipette delivers along a scale. A Pasteur pipette is an uncalibrated transfer. A piston pipette uses a tip, and the tip has to seal on that pipette. A filter tip adds a barrier so aerosol from the sample does not reach the piston. Serological pipettes are the long graduated tubes used with a controller. The volume and the fit are the specification. Piston pipettes are treated under ISO laboratory apparatus. In-vitro work also meets ISO in vitro diagnostic systems.
