Description
Volumetric pipette, soda-lime glass, Class AS with blue print, CoC and batch certificate is a precision instrument for accurate measuring and transferring of liquids. This 7 ml pipette dispenses only fixed volumes and is adjusted to deliver (Ex) at a reference temperature of +20 °C. Fabricated from soda-lime glass to accuracy class AS, it carries a permanently fired blue graduation scale that remains durable over long-term use. Volume tolerances meet the error limits of the German Weights and Measures Regulations as well as ISO and DIN requirements. The full-delivery design permits uptake of differing liquid quantities followed by complete discharge of the entire contents, while rapid drainage shortens waiting time markedly compared with Class A. Pipettes of class AS that bear a batch number are accompanied by a batch certificate documenting the mean value obtained from measurements of that batch, the standard deviation and the date of issue; certificates can also be retrieved online. The four-digit batch number encodes the production year in the first two digits and the batch in the last two (e.g. 18.01). Supplied as a single piece and bearing the AR-Glas ® mark, the pipette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is suited to volumetry and the uptake and delivery of a defined total volume in routine laboratory work.
This article is part of Volumetric pipettes, in Pipettes & pipette tips.

Questions about Volumetric Pipette, soda-lime glass, Class AS, blue print, CoC, batch certificat
What is this article?
Volumetric Pipette, soda-lime glass, Class AS, blue print, CoC, batch certificat is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric pipettes, inside Pipettes & pipette tips, in Lab consumables.
A volumetric pipette has a single mark and a bulb, and it delivers one volume with a tighter tolerance than a graduated pipette. It is for preparing standards. It is not for reagents that attack glass, and it is not a blow-out pipette unless it is marked as one.
A pipette moves a measured volume. A volumetric pipette delivers one line. A graduated pipette delivers along a scale. A Pasteur pipette is an uncalibrated transfer. A piston pipette uses a tip, and the tip has to seal on that pipette. A filter tip adds a barrier so aerosol from the sample does not reach the piston. Serological pipettes are the long graduated tubes used with a controller. The volume and the fit are the specification. Piston pipettes are treated under ISO laboratory apparatus. In-vitro work also meets ISO in vitro diagnostic systems.
