Description

Weight 50 g, OIML E1 is an individual calibration weight designed for high-accuracy metrology and laboratory balance verification. It belongs to OIML Class E1, which provides high precision with tight tolerances and a guaranteed uncertainty of one-third of the tolerance. Weight surfaces meet or exceed OIML R 111 and are finished to a mirror-smooth high-gloss polish. Fabricated from Troemner Alloy 8 stainless steel, the 50 g weight offers a strictly controlled density of 8,03 g/cm³ along with extremely low magnetic susceptibility, excellent stability and corrosion resistance. Suitable for the 1 g to 20 kg series, the piece is supplied by manufacturer Ohaus in a high-quality protective case that keeps the weight secure, clean and dust-free. With a height of 28,58 mm and net mass of 0,05 kg, this single calibration weight meets or exceeds the tolerances of OIML classes E1, E2, F1 and F2, making it well suited for precise calibration work in analytical and quality-control laboratories.

Questions about Weight 1P OIML 50g CLE1 NoCert TR

What is this article?

Weight 1P OIML 50g CLE1 NoCert TR is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Calibration & test weights, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.

A test weight is a mass of a stated class, used to check a balance. The class sets the tolerance. A weight that is dirty, or that has been handled with bare fingers, is no longer that class. The certificate ties the weight to a standard.

A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
