Description
Whirl Pak® plastic bags with write-on strip, 23 x 11,5 cm (L x W), are versatile sample bags particularly suited to liquid samples for food, water and wastewater examination, as well as biological or chemical specimens. Constructed from low-density polyethylene (LDPE), each sterile bag features a filling opening backed on both sides by a metal wire that keeps the aperture consistently taut for convenient filling. Hermetic sealing is achieved by holding the bag at the metal wire, whirling it several times around its own axis, then folding the wire ends inward and pressing them firmly. The Whirl-Pak® can be opened and resealed as often as required by the workflow. A strong weld seam on all sides provides additional security against leakage during handling and transport. Supplied in packs of 100 pieces from manufacturer neolab - Labor, these bags support reliable sample collection in laboratory settings. The integrated write-on strip enables direct sample identification on the bag surface, simplifying labelling throughout analysis procedures without separate tags.
This article is part of Vortex mixers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about Whirl Pak® plastic bag with label panel, 23 x 11.5 cm (L x B)
What is this article?
Whirl Pak® plastic bag with label panel, 23 x 11.5 cm (L x B) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Vortex mixers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A vortex mixer oscillates a cup so a tube pressed into it spins its contents into a vortex. It mixes a tube in seconds. It does not mix a flask, and it is not a substitute for a shaker when the method says thirty minutes.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
