Description

MIX 15 multi-position magnetic stirrer designed for reliable series testing and chemical, biotechnological and medical applications of all kinds. The ultra-flat, wear-free unit provides 15 stirring positions (3 × 5) optimised for simultaneous work with 15 × 250 mL tall-form beakers and supports stirring volumes from 1 to 3,000 ml per position. Powered by the maintenance-free 2mag induction drive, it delivers 100 % synchronous, jerk-free stirring across a speed range of 100–2,000 rpm. Four-stage power setting (5/10/15/20 W, max. 20 W) allows high output for large or viscous media and reduced power for heat-free continuous operation. Digital display, SoftStart for secure catch and acceleration of the stir bar, and QuickSet for rapid selection of start or maximum speed complete the control features. Fully encapsulated stainless-steel housing sealed with PUR is easy to clean and resistant; protection class IP65. Dimensions are 245 × 425 × 38 mm. Developed and made in Germany by 2mag, the stirrer is built for demanding laboratory duty and continuous operation.

Questions about 2mag - MIX 15 Multiple point stirrer for 15x250 mL beaker glasses

What is this article?

2mag - MIX 15 Multiple point stirrer for 15x250 mL beaker glasses is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes 2mag for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
