Description

AHN myTube® CT centrifuge tubes 15 mL with flat cap are sterile polypropylene vessels supplied in a rack for secure sample processing in laboratory centrifugation. High-quality raw material meets purity requirements and helps minimise the risk of sample contamination. The flat screw-cap design, large labelling field and precise graduation lines support clear sample identification and rapid volume control. Tubes resist high centrifugal forces up to 17.000 RCF as well as temperature fluctuations from −80 °C to +121 °C, preventing sample loss. A convenient three-quarter-turn closure enables one-handed opening and closing. The sterile version is gamma-irradiated; opened tubes are autoclavable at 121 °C for 15 min. Offered by manufacturer AHN Biotechnologie, the pack contains 500 pieces and suits cell culture, molecular biology and clinical workflows that require reliable, sterile 15 mL centrifuge tubes with a height of 120 mm.

This article is part of Screw caps & closures, in Stoppers, caps & closures.

Questions about AHN myTube® CT Centrifuge Tubes 15 mL with flat Cap, racked, sterile, Case / 20

What is this article?

AHN myTube® CT Centrifuge Tubes 15 mL with flat Cap, racked, sterile, Case / 20 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes AHN Biotechnologie for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
